Facebook Pros and Cons

As many people now-a-days, I have a Facebook page. I love being able to keep in touch with friends and see what everyone is up to...but I have a few gripes about it.

One. People I have not talked to in years want to be my friend. If I haven't talked to you in such a long time, it is probably for a reason. Why would you think we would have anything to talk about if I haven't talked to you in 10 years? Two. Invitations and thank you's are appreciated on Facebook, but just because you wrote on my wall, thanking me for something, doesn't mean you can skip sending a thank you card in the mail. If you invite me to a wedding via Facebook, do you really think I am going to come? And if I spent a large amount of money doing something nice for you and I only recieve a wall post "Thanks!", do you think I am going to go out of my way to do something nice for you again? I'm sorry, but show some class. Three. Pictures on your profile need to be somewhat conservative. It's as simple as that. Young girls and boys can see what you are posting. Four. I have several 'friends' who post comments swearing and cursing to no end. This is uncalled for and I don't appreciate it at all. Why does the whole Facebook world need to read your filth?

It's time for you Facebook-ians to mind your manners! Clean up your Facebook page, and show a little southern charm!
